This was the first sketch in our attempt to design a comfortable steering wheel cover. The design is very simple. It consists of a foam layer covered by a layer of polyester.
This steering wheel cover has 2 sets of finger grips that are placed at ten and two, which is also thicker than a standard steering wheel cover. The internal layer consists of foam, the grips are made of gel, and the external layer is made of polyester.
This steering wheel cover has 3 sets of finger grips that are placed at ten, two, and six. It's also thicker than a standard steering wheel. The internal layer consists of foam, the grips are made of rubber, and the external layer is made of polyester.
The grips on the steering wheel cover are made of gel with a memory foam material instead of leather or rubber. The steering wheel cover is thicker than a standard steering wheel cover so it is easier for people with arthritis.

Computer Aided Drawings
The steering wheel cover will be made of four pieces that will connect together. This is one of the four pieces that will connect together to fit around the steering wheel. They will connect together with the use of a magnet. In creating the cover, it was decided that it will be easier for individuals with arthritis to put it onto the steering wheel piece by piece rather than to try to stretch it onto the steering wheel.
